I mentioned in passing the Suicide Girls in a recent blogpost and it occurred to us here at The Hot Live Sexy Naked Blog that we hadn't covered them before...

That's nuts. These hot, pierced and tattooed love goddesses should have been the inaugural post of this blog.

So what's a Suicide Girl?

Well from a quick scan of the babes on the site, she's a non-conformist, alternative-philosophy chick who is into as much non-typical stuff as not.

In other words, an SG girl isn't someone whose concepts of art, music and beauty are defined by the norm, whether it's corporate media or community standards.

A SuicideGirl is cool, and it's not just those that are on the site that belong in the category.

As site founder Selena Mooney has said, these are women "who didn't fit into any conventional sub-culture and didnt [sic] define themselves based on musical taste like punk, metal, goth, etc."

Further explanation of the name, by the way, indicates Suicide Girls are those who commit "social suicide" by choosing not to be typical, mainstream adherents.
